    Reported sudden death following 5 furlong work out. 3 years old.

    Poor Medina Spirit such a talent and just 3 years old.
    What do we know about what may have caused his heart attack, was in something to do with the medications?
    A terrible waste of a beautiful horse. R.I.P

    There’s to be an autopsy, samples are being taken. According to reports the trainer has a much higher equine sudden death rate than average, but apparently the autopsy is standard in sudden death cases.
