Mythology suggests that this is one for the poor punters but believe me if you back this one it will surely be a case of robbing from the poor to give to the rich:

Did they think the horse would win? Should of ran at Nottingham.

July 18, 2010 at 23:08 #307181Hiya Nathan, a lucky guess I suppose. Just before the off it was backed as though defeat was out of the question. I’ve never tried this lay-betting lark and I don’t know whether it’s something that appeals to you? I don’t know what it is but I seem to have far more success spotting losers than winners. Perhaps that’s the road I should go down if I’m ever to make money at this game. Any thoughts welcome.
Cheers
KenJuly 19, 2010 at 08:04 #307192Day to day lay betting has never appealed to me but it certainly can come in handy. I backed Gretna at about 40/1 to win the Scottish Cup one year for a fiver stake and somehow not only did they get to the final but took Hearts to Penalty’s. I didn’t know much about lay betting then but they would of been about evens at that point, needless to say they lost.

Give it a paper trail on here Ken and see how it pans out for you, good luck anyway.
PS. have you caught the strawberry thief yet?
