What we thinking on this one guys?

The market looks tight and looks like it could be a competetive race.

I’m looking at GRAND SLAM HERO & VALLEY RIDE.

GSH is a much better horse when trained by NTD and comes into this looking for the hat-trick. There should still be enough room for improvement off his current mark.

VR is a course and distance winner and is proven in the grade. The Bowen yard are on fire at the minute and this is a race they always target.

    Any thoughts?

    Hi Ben,

    I like

    Grand Slam Hero

too and with Bowen’s record in the race you cannot discount

    Valley Ride

    !

Trends based on the last five runnings which we over today’s distance of 2m6f110y gives the best chances to

    Keepitsecret

    ,

    Picaroon

    ,

    Grand Slam Hero

    and

    Putney Bridge

    .

My ratings place the Jonjo trio at the top with Putney Bridge as a potential big improver.

Personally, I want Richie McLernon to land one of these big ones as I am a super-fan of him…..fingers crossed!

Like you said it is very wide open and it should be a corker!!

I’m really looking forward to this race, and, if it wasn’t for the fact that we have a family wedding this weekend would have gone to see it. It’s more a case of who’s the canniest trainer imo, and, as we’ve got Jonjo, Pipe, NTD and Peter Bowen it’s impossible to call. Tempsford is a horse I’ve been keeping an eye on [he was off the track for ages; has he had a wind op..had a tongue strap at Bangor when he won?]. But, since I started looking at the race I keep being drawn to the Vaughan horses..all three of them! The Seymour horses is a course specialist, and Silverburn might just have a going day and beat the lot. can’t wait!

I think Silverburn still has a big race in him yet but have a feeling ground will be too lively for him today. However, his mark is on the decline and he is sure to pop up one day and it’s more than likely going to be a right-handed track as well (unlike his bro who hates going that way round!!).

Seems to be a lot of people being drawn towards the Vaughan horses……although he does seem to have a better record at the track with his hurdlers than his chasers….
