Choking on my words here, I detest the Mares Hurdle but its saved Day 1 there with an actually interesting finish.

Owner had the chance to move yards.
“Trainer” had the chance to refuse being a “ringer”.Value Is EverythingMarch 16, 2021 at 16:46 #1530029BHA and Ireland could have blocked them so perhaps they should be booed

Value Is EverythingMarch 16, 2021 at 19:10 #1530078Not the horses fault and didn’t bother me as I picked the winner. She was tough
March 16, 2021 at 19:23 #1530083Had some pretty hefty money on Black Tears to win the Coral Cup at 40/1 antepost. Refused to back her for this when switched based on those losses. Total sickener watching her get up on the nod to win this!
It was a good finish and I can’t begrudge the horse, owner, jockey or stand-in trainer for running or winning.
March 16, 2021 at 19:36 #1530089Gordon Elliott is the only one to blame not his horses. So glad he isn’t anywhere near Cheltenham.
He brought all this onto his yard by his revolting actions.Black Tears ran her heart out and all credit to her and all those involved in her care.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 17, 2021 at 07:10 #1530179Owner had the chance to move yards.
This may have upset the horse no end. I’m sure the owner did what was best for the horse at the time.
March 17, 2021 at 08:45 #1530192‘Good job there aren’t any crowds this year.
They’d have been booing the winner in to the winners enclosure.”
I understood your sentiments about the trainer.
But I was delighted for Black Tears even though him winning by that narrow margin prevented me going through the card yesterday. - AuthorPosts
