Riviere D’etel is a pretty mad price considering she was a leading fancy in the Arkle last season and wasn’t beaten out of sight.
Hard hard mare. Even though I was on the beaten horse, I can’t help but admire one that fights back up like that.
That was a really good race. Impervious showed a decent turn of foot and would be nice to see her take on open company over 2m 4f, Allegorie De Vassy gave what she had and Pink Legend ran a cracker for third place. Sadly my money went west at the start courtesy of Magic Daze who looked overawed by the occasion.
Fantastic race and the best mare won.
Christ, I’m having rotten luck following Elliot this week though.
Had Riviere D’ietel w/o the 2 favs and thought she’d run a huge race.As a backer of Allegorie de Vassy I though she won it with the great jump at the last, but Impervious was a serious engine.
