Sure does and if there were no commentries and names you wouldn’t know the difference between Kempton and some American meeting where they race for millions. Horses in the same class will always produce good races but on the hwole it’s damn hard to work out which one is going to win at these gaffs.
exactly FoF and if it wasn’t for race times, etc, you couldn’t tell the difference at all. it’s much more interesting than small fields of plodders trailing in all strung out like the washing in the mud, if they don’t fall over, etc
betting on the winning distance at kempton isn’t as mad as it might seem at first
competitve racing, good facilities, no crazy crowds, not expensive – it’s damn good value imo
