I backed Axiom. Not complaining about him.

But what a depressing sight that last turn at Lingfield is.

    Why?

It’s a great corner, coming down hill and where the jockeys set their finish up, nothing depressing about it at all.

I’m depressed how Lingfield has left their jumps course to be a mere shadow of its former great self.

I agree with you Phil, Lingfield’s NH course is shamefully underused these days.

It’s the best all weather course we have. Who wants another jumps course. It’s a dying sport of the future anyway.

That’s like saying Liverpool are the best football team on Merseyside. They may be, but doesn’t mean they are any good.

"All weather" racing should only be scheduled when turf racing is not possible, not all year round. There is still the frightening possibility of the return of Great Leighs next year – God help us all!

Much prefer the NH action. Lingfield is a very nice jumps course, would hate it to go the same way as Windsor, Nottingham and Wolverhampton.

....and you've got to look a long way back for anything else.

But Liverpool aren’t the best team in merseyside anymore.

AW racing is the future, it’s all year round and it’s here to stay, though Great Leighs needs a lot of work to make it spectator friendly.

I’m really hoping that Great Leighs does reopen next year. I didn’t manage to get there before it closed abruptly as I was hoping they would improve the viewing and the position of the temporary grandstand so that I might actually see something.
Have been to every other racecourse, including Ffos Las, so still feel that, although I missed out on Great Leighs, :( I might get another chance.
