    Jimi Hendrix for me.
I’ll trust Rossa Ryan to get him up on the line.

He’ll find racing easier without his tackle hindering him……..that’s referring to Jimi Hendrix, not Rossa Ryan!!

Hopefully the weight won’t be too much of a hindrance for Awaal Jac, I was really impressed with how he did it last time on Heavy ground, making a mockery of a competitive handicap.
It’s been some time but he was ahead of Al Mubhir in a hot novice race back in May last year when 2nd behind the useful looking Phantom Flight.

That was after narrowly beating subsequent Britannia Stakes victor Thesis, who has now buggered off to Hong Kong.
This looks a really fine race though, the likes of Atrium, Montassib, Al Mubhir and Wanees were on my list but I can’t have them all.
I also won’t pick a few and leave one out, as I did last year when backing three and leaving out a certain horse named Johan.
    Hurrah for the flat.

Good luck with Awaal Chivers. :good:
I was originally all over Unforgotten until he was taken out and The Crisford’s were pretty quick to claim James Doyle to ride their horse.

It’s going to be an exciting race in what will resemble a bog and Montassib will love it, so had to go with both the Haggas horses tomorrow.

I’m also hoping Atzeni doesn’t sit too far back on Al Raheb as he will have it all to do if something slips the field in the soft going.

It’s no foregone conclusion but I’ll stick with my choices and like yourself so happy the flat is back. :good: Jac

I’ll go for Baradar at 14/1 (e/w, 6 places). He went up to a mark of 110 after a fine 3rd on this track in the Vertem Futurity G1 as a 2yo on heavy ground. Lost his way until having his first and only run for George Boughey in November when he won comfortably off 93, again at this track and again on heavy ground.

Still 13lb off his highest rating and this will have been the plan all winter. At 14/1 it’s worth taking the chance that his new stable have found the key to him.

The 4yo potential group horse in a handicap entries will always top the betting here but past winners like Johan last year (28/1), Bravery in 2017 (20/1) and Levitate in 2013 (20/1) show that the value can often be with horses that have switched stables over the winter.

I played Awaal a few weeks back , it’s boring but Al Mubir could well be a cut above this so is played , at bigger Safe Voyage has run well fresh , down the field last year but that was off 108 , on a going day with 5 places off 99 I’ll have a punt

Good luck with Bopedro Ham, you’ve certainly beat my 25’s.

After my other non runner, I’ve went with Safe Voyage 25-1 ew 7 places as he’s a horse I’ve bet a lot in the past, and I think that he’ll like the ground
