Thank you for that Graham
Disappointing news but noticed you can still bet on him with Ladbrokes this morning.Luckily I put my Dubai World Cup bets on first while waiting to see if Unforgotten made the cut but The Gosdens have decided that he stays on the AW for the next big race which judging by his last race seems the right way to go and I’ll be backing him all the way.
Saga looks a useful horse and what a result if the King ‘s horse won the Lincoln in his Coronation year.Back to the drawing board..
JacThings turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...March 25, 2023 at 11:54 #1641310I’m sure that I read that this is the plan for Air To Air, but I’ve only had a small bet so far at 33-1
If he is still there on Monday and doesn’t hold any other entries I will have more on him definitely
March 25, 2023 at 14:58 #1641379I’ve bet Bopedro already at 25-1. He is my main selection, and although it would make sense to hold off just now, I’ve also bet Brunch 50-1 ew 5 places
March 25, 2023 at 20:53 #1641474While it would be more sensible to wait for the draw and others may be more unexposed, it’s hard to ignore Brunch at 75 on the machine.
Despite 9st9lb and a mark of 104, the 6yo isn’t badly handicapped.
This will be his third crack at the race and he was runner up off 100 in 2021 and three-and-a-half-lengths eighth off this 104 last year.
He was also runner up off 104 in the Hambleton Handicap at the York May meeting.
I’d fancy him to finish within five lengths of the winner and he might just pop up and make it third time lucky himself.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"March 28, 2023 at 20:47 #1641778Anyone know what the ground is likely to be like? At first glance I like the looks of Bopedro 18/1 and Saga 12/1
March 28, 2023 at 21:05 #1641779I suspect the big price about Brunch on the machine might be because he’s double entered, also in the Listed Doncaster Mile (as is Tacarib Bay). Not sure what their plans are, obviously the Lincoln is worth a lot more but the Listed race is a lot more winnable and is worth more than finishing 3rd in a Lincoln.
March 29, 2023 at 09:07 #1641786The ground is currently soft gd to soft in places ben with bits of rain forecast
Certainly can’t see it being any better than that, likely soft all over unless they get plenty of rain to bring heavy into it

Had a few little niggles in the past but has caught the eye on a few occasions in Ireland the last couple of years. No way of knowing how fit some of these horses are but hopefully he can pop up at some point this season in one of these type of races.
March 30, 2023 at 06:44 #1641843Montassib 14/1
Montassib has been crying out for softer ground, he is 6lb better off with Wanees for 3/4 length but 5 points bigger in the betting. In saying that I’ve just had to go in because 14/1 is about to disapear imo.
Always better to be at a track at this time of year and see who’s fit and ready
March 30, 2023 at 06:45 #1641844More rain forecast. Northerly wind on the day. No head wind
March 30, 2023 at 13:19 #1641858Ground now soft/heavy in places
Most of the fancied runners seem to have been drawn 10 or higher
March 30, 2023 at 18:48 #1641879Majestic and Jimi Hendrix, for me, as my main bets,
plus a small e/w on Safe Voyage.Lots of rain forecast, though, between now and Saturday afternoon, so guess there’s a chance the meeting could fall foul of the weather.
March 30, 2023 at 23:56 #1641901There’s a few I like here but at the risk of getting it balls up wrong I’ll stick with the one selection.
Awaal 9/2 7 places. Progressive soft ground loving lightly raced 4 year old coming from a yard very much on the up.
Same trainer and jockey combination that were close to winning the Dubai World Cup, hopefully they can land an even bigger race here
March 31, 2023 at 07:43 #1641909The rank outsider is worth a nibble the witch hunter shouldn’t be 100/1
March 31, 2023 at 09:27 #1641916What do you mean there’s a better race over the very same distance on the same card 35 minutes later featuring horses with similar ratings, but pays less prize money? What is this nonsense??
March 31, 2023 at 10:43 #1641918I’ll have a go with Empirestateofmind 14-1 ew 7 places.
March 31, 2023 at 14:48 #1641929I liked Awaal as well Chivers but thought carrying 9-7 in the soft might be too much so after a good troll through the trainer form, ground, draw, distance and recent form there was just one horse that ticked all the boxes …
AL MUBHIR – WIN.. (drawn 10)
However you have to also play an EW on Montassib- EW even though he is drawn 21 Cieron Fallon could gain advantage with a flying start I think he will be in the mix.The other 2 who came out well in my checklist were…
Empirestateofmind (drawn 11) and
Atrium (drawn 13)…both EW.That’s my 4 against the field but
AL Mubhir.9/2 is the NAP.
Best of luck for the first official day of the flat.
