A couple Guineas trials followed by the Ballysax
Alexandroupolis seems to be the possible improver from two to three so will be interested to see how he gets on, prefered over Denmark for Moore
of the trials both Never Ending Story and Dower House have run loads in their two year old campaigns, maybe Aidan sees another Snowfall there, not for me but Never Ending Story was placed in the Prix Marcel Boussac and has already beat the market rival Zarinsk
Never Ending Story 5/2 single
and in a Double with Alexandroupoli 8/11 William HillCharles Darwin to conquer the World
April 1, 2023 at 18:27 #1642154I am really looking forward to these races.
Forget what yards they are from, just look at their form and pedigrees and enjoy.
And forget about the ground being Heavy too – in this era of climate change and artificial watering whenever the Sun comes out, who can be certain the ground won’t have plenty of give come the Classics themselves?

Bit naffed of me Denmark World Cup and Denmark Derby double has gone down the pan..
Although I could have another pop at the next WC and double it again.
Yep Im mad..April 1, 2023 at 20:17 #1642172That’s my kind of mad.
Tender Kiss, Marsha’s first foal by Galileo, is an interesting one on pedigree in the opener.

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"April 1, 2023 at 22:24 #1642183Matilda Picotte looked a little overpriced in the 1000 trial at 17/2. I think she’ll get 7, just not sure on the ground.
I’ll have her and Purple Gown in the 530 to back up a fine effort 8 days ago to go one place better.Ballysax probably will go to either of the first two in the market but I’ve shoved some change on the AOB outsider Mohawk Chief at 20/1 just because.
April 1, 2023 at 23:19 #1642187Just for fun Nathan I’m going to dive in with a bookend double for Johnny Murtagh with…
2.00 Hazalaya – 33/1 EW
5.30 Lauroline – 0/30
Both beautifully bred2.00 Bold As Love – 5/2 – Win (and a speculative Rev. Forecast with Hazalaya)
3.10 Never Ending Story – 2/1 – WinCombi EW Treble on all 4
Enjoy the day

Not that I’ve backed Blue Rose Cen for the Prix D’Essai Des Pouliches (French 1,000 Guineas) or anything.
You’ll note Dermot Weld withdrew his original entry in this race – just saying!

It's the "Millwall FC" of Point broadcasts: "No One Likes Us - We Don't Care"April 2, 2023 at 15:24 #1642228Backed Never Ending Story straight after that for the French Oaks 16-1. I don’t think she’s a 12f horse but ran like 10f could be within range so we will see.
April 2, 2023 at 15:52 #1642232Well done with the filly Nathan.
White Birch was very game in the Ballysax to get shoved sideways and keep going.April 2, 2023 at 15:52 #1642233I absolutely promise I never laugh whenever yet another “Aidan says….” hyped-up Maiden winner that can apparently already be regarded as a Derby colt gets beat at odds-on.

April 2, 2023 at 16:16 #1642238O’Brien said of Never Ending Story afterwards: “It was tough ground out there, so hopefully she’ll go into one of the Guineas now. I had considered the French Oaks but some **** on TRF nicked the last of the 16s from under my nose so she’s staying in Ireland on a point of general principle.” – Source: Racing Toast.

April 2, 2023 at 16:48 #1642245Yes, Green, solid run from White Birch and nice to see a different name of trainer win the race
I wouldn’t write Alexandroupolis off just yet, he’s plenty inexperienced enough and none of Aidan’s last 4 Derby winners went into Epsom unbeaten.

April 2, 2023 at 17:00 #1642249Pleased with Never Ending Story’s win and well done Nathan

Just missed out on 3rd place by a head with Hazalaya 33/1 EW in the opener but was very pleased with her run as she came from last but one to finish 4th beaten a head on the last 2 furlongs. She will be so much better next race.
