Just thought I’d let you know that Lemon Silk runs in a competitive nursery at Newcastle tomorrow. We expect him to be in the frame and hopeful he might even win since both the straight mile and the ground is expected to suit. Paul Cole’s seems to be very highly regarded at home so that could rate the main danger even though LS has a bit to find.

Here are some pics from his Beverley win.

Can’t win em all Naps – says in the Rp that he ‘paid the price for helping force the strong pace’.

I recognized the name naps, so I watched with interest. Seemed to be going well, and then all of a sudden, seemed to pull back. Any idea what happened? It must have been a big disappointment.

Thanks all……Micky got off and immediately said it was his fault. He said he was far too aggressive in trying to force the pace and the horse had little chance of getting home on the ground so he was easy on him the last 2 furlongs.

Most important he came home sound and will look forward to his next run.

    Cheers.

Too bad today naps but at least the horse is back safe and sound.
Today’s race was a valuable and very competitive nursery with some unexposed maiden winners going into h’caps.
The Cole and Johnson runners were touted but disappointed

I’m sure you’ll have plenty more fun with him – looking at the photos again he really is a taking individual.

He’s a beautiful colour. A real bright chestnut. Very striking!
