    This article is from yesterday-today he’s in stable condition and his family is looking into rehab centers. A fund is being set up to help with the cost of his treatment.

    For those of you who aren’t familiar with QH racing, Jacky is one of the all-time greats. He has won seven runnings of the All-American Futurity (the equivalent of the Kentucky Derby). He was named to ride Ochoa this year; imagine a Kentucky Derby or Epsom Derby rider paralyzed in an accident just a couple days before the big race. Ochoa’s win today was bittersweet.

    Terrible news Miss Woodford. Yet another sad reminder of the risks every jockey or work rider takes every time they get on board a horse.
