Going to hope this lad can reverse form from the Derby with desert crown
He is starting to remind me a little bit of cracksman
The main hope on the reversal is based around the more prominent tactics used in the Irish Derby
if he can sit just off the pace then kick for home early utilising his big stride (like cracksman used to) I really think he will give desert crown something to think about
Wouldn’t be surprised if frankie picks up the ride as well after the owners jocked hornby off last time

I do like Adayar but will likely need the run if he even shows up, Emily Upjohn may go Irish Oaks as it looks a good opportunity for her, and he has a verdict over Westover after just 2 starts. He could end up odds on.
No surprise re Adayar decision, I had posted on the subject seperately that the ‘minor setback’ that forced him to miss the Coronation Cup, then the POW and then the Eclipse was a bigger issue.
I am now moving more to the view that he won’t run again and will be retire to stud.

I want to see Westover sitting just off him and taking it up plenty far enough out and using that long stride

Why do I have a bad feeling that we now might not get that rematch afterall.
Anyway, still an intriguing race with last year’s Arc winner (who has never run on anything officially quicker than good ground) coming over and I now wonder who will pick up the Mishriff ride cough Dettori cough now that Egan hasn’t resigned his retainer.
