Played it small here with Sing Us A Song. Improved for this trip last time, looks a battler and could be made for this race. Bought by Wathnan recently, them is really goon for it big time. 15/2 is fine. Liked Serious Contender and Merchant but don’t want to have much on this mother of a race.

June 19, 2025 at 15:14 #1733838Not sure what James Doyle was doing. Did the horse miss the break? Miles back early.
June 19, 2025 at 15:19 #1733841I heard Doyle interviewed after his second winner on Tuesday that he doesn’t want to commit too early in these sort of races at Ascot. Which is fair enough – the winner didn’t get involved in the early pace either.
But it was going to take a huge effort for Doyle’s horse to win from that far back. I doubt the horse was good enough, anyway.
June 19, 2025 at 16:11 #1733860From Stewards Report – Following the race, James Doyle reported that SING US A SONG (IRE), unplaced, was fractious in stalls and slowly away.
Did look like slowly away was being a touch generous to be honest.
