Pardon me for interfearing TAPK, but I thought this thread was mainly an aim to prove how good you are at antepost betting be it in this particular race or across the board as you so oftenly suggest.

It has nothing to do with me being the ‘wise one’, TAPK.

All you have done of late is flood the forum with unsubstantiated tales of previous ante-post successes – which, even if entirely true, mean absolutely nothing – and aimed needlessly inflammatory remarks at Fist through reams of mindless rambling (the idea that the King George is a possible target for Rainbow View and Fantasia aside, you’re arguing against the targets Sir Michael Stoute has set for his own horses).

You may well be the ‘next big thing’ when it comes to ante-post betting, but you’re also becoming an increasingly tiresome after-timer who doesn’t appear to think before he speaks. Fist may be an unrelenting muppet – I say ‘may’ as though I’m unsure, of course he’s a muppet  – but if nothing else he’ll defend his opinions (when called so weakly into question) and I fail to see the point in exacerbating the degrading of discussions by starting similarly flawed new ones.

I think I’ll make this my last post for a while; TRF isn’t a pleasant place to be at the moment.

HALFWAY, its hardly interfereing, but if i wanted to predict an Ante-post
suggestion for the Ascot Gold Cup i would have titled the thread just that!
It really isn"t a race i have ever played Ante-post either!

EQUI, IRAQ isn"t a pleasant place to be, you wimp! this is a forum for debate, some of us are good at "instigating a bit of movement" shall i say
and some just enjoy the craic! Those of us that actually know their horse racing and the re-occurring pattern it follows can see certain horses futures
before others! I have spent 25yrs doing just that, Fist says he"s done it for
40yrs, therefore i respect he has knowledge! What i dont tolerate is his
attitude problem (unlike so many of you do) and his contrary threads! I
could have swore he was against Hurricane fly and yet now he is backing it
for the Champion Hurdle! i find these sort who are forever jumping on bandwagons very weak and all they do ultimately is lose credibility! I am the first to admit, that i can come across as a bit of a "Bawheed" but as soon as you lose your confidence at this game, you are in trouble, thats why i maintain my stance! For every one Ante-post victory (Forpady@20/1)
i can have 19 losers before i break even and there"s more chance of
Fist, Aragorn and you coming round to mine for tea than that happening!

Why don’t you just wind your neck in, tell us what you’ve backed, to how much and when you’ve backed it.. That way we can avoid this continued rant at fists and you can prove/disprove your so far unsubstantiated claims.

I made a lot of money at Cheltenham, in particular through one horse (Imperial Commander) which I banged on about for months in advance. Funnily enough I haven’t mentioned it since.

For what its worth i backed Westphalia at 36 for a tenner and have since laid it off at 32’s because he obviously isn’t going to run. Other than that I have backed nothing for the 2000 and to be honest won’t be betting very much on it because I think it is wide open.

I’m on Shimah at 34’s for a fiver and Again at 60’s for a fiver, the latter I will probably trade out of when it becomes apparent she is the coolmore number one and the price contracts some more. I’m planning on backing Rainbow View as well with a view to winning about £100 if any of them win. Gutted I was at work this morning and missed the drift as I would have backed her heavily at any price bigger than 3’s.

If Conduit turns up Gerald he’ll win at a very short price I wouldve thought.

He could go undefeated this season if he’s dropped in right

Halfway, put your money where your mouth is then! You can get 5/1 with
my pals Corals if you are so confident!

Perhaps you should go backand read the thread Wilson. I backed Hurrcane Fly with the intention of laying him.

As far as changing your mind on a race go back to the Arkle thread. You told us all to get on MWDS. I remember it well as I thought at the time you were off your trolly as the horse was clearly out of love with the game. Aragorn then mentioned his horse was Forpaddy and I agreed he had an excellent chance then you jumped on the bandwagon 2 months later. You followed that buy saying Free World was your other selection for the race.

3 bets in the same race..why? Change your mind did you?

There is a long time between festivals and there is not a man among us who will not change his mind about something.

What I don’t understan is if you are sogood at this game why did you tip Alberta’s Run or even back the horse when it was common knowledge he must have good ground and that Jonjo had made it perfectly clear if he was going to be a Gold Cup horse it would not be this year.

Now you are tipping a horse that SMS has obvious reservations about getting 1m4f in top class company. Didn’t you hear him say he got the trip in the Derby but just ok.? Next time he seemed not to and was beaten in Ireland the decison was made to keep him at 10f but t enter him in some 12f races incase they were wrong. So now you know.

The above are very important factors when backing AP. Like when I backed Kalahari King my main bet, way back last year, for the Arkle I made damn sure I knew that was his target. Ferdy was 100% set on winning the Akle with him.

I considered backing Paddy but as he had been stepped up in trip and I thought he was dodgy bet. Not only did he have to win he had to trun up and that was looking unlikely for a time. You turned out to be right but by pure luck because if he had beaten Cooldine the chances are he would have gone in the other direction.

For a King you have an awful lot to learn but don’t worry me and the lads will keep you right and I promise we wont count your fook ups. :)

Have a nice day and as this thread is’t worth rat’s ass how do you rate Alberta’s chances on Wenesday? was 67 on betfair the other day did you back it?

I would love to know where i said MWDS would win this years Arkle bearing in mind he has already won one already! You really are a Muppet
as one of your sidekicks called you! Go to the back of the class and write
" i couldn"t lace The Ante-Post Kings" boots when it comes to horse racing" a 100 times! Next time you want to criticise dont get your threads
    in a twist!

Sorry I missed that. Can you point me in the direction of the thread where you said I have backed Alberta’s Run EW at 50/1. I can point you in the direction where I backed the winner at 6/4 twice and you said he was a bad bet.

Anyway the questin is have you backed him for the Guineas and did you atke that huge price Betfair were offering?

Ok lets have some fun and any bets that you have posted on here that haven’t run yet count

Start a thread THE KINGS AP BETS and I’ll take you on and perhaps a few others will join. Be fun to see who comes out on top. Make some rules like all bets must be at least1 week before the race and the name of thebookie you havetaken the odds off.

    Lads,

Can we not bring other thread arguements in to every other one. Even I am getting bored of it.

For what it is worth I think some have exaggerated some of your points TAPK. May be your name has given the Big Head Aftertimer image an uneccersary boost. As am sure my G…..Tipster has put off some. Have tried to defend you.

But this apparent vendetta against Fist should be stopped. Sorry Fist i am being the policeman again.

Of course Fist comes up with some stuff we don’t like but let’s judge every thread / post individually. As we should you or anyone else.

    For what it is worth:

My feelings on Tartan Bearer are:

12/1 does look good value on form, likely going and distance. But that 12/1 is only that price because of his stable / owner companion Conduit and likelyhood of running. Conduit has no chance of winning races at 1m2f where as Tartan Bearer definately does; as we’ve seen this season already. To enhance his stud value there is no chance Conduit will race at longer than 1m4f; at least before the King George. (Until the possibility of proving he’s not fast enough this year). As others have said, another owner companion Patkai looks capable of running in staying races anyway. I’d say there is little chance both Conduit and Tartan Bearer turning up at Ascot in July. IMO Conduit is the better value at 5/1 than Tartan Bearer’s 12’s.

TAPK, where’s this 5/1 come from?

    Did you request a price?

I liked your confidence Halfway, so i asked Corals for a price! Like i have already said i am with Tartan Bearer though!
