Going to be a problem for me when the market opens, as I like half of them (market now up with Paddy Power)
Straight off the bat, my old pal Duffle Coat jumped out. Just a case of getting the timing right with him, and he’ll run a big race somewhere this year, hopefully at a price. Confident he’ll be considered for Cross Country this season, and one I’m very interested in again.
Unfortunately, his stablemates Three Card Brag, Shecouldbeanything, snd particularly Pied Piper also make plenty of appeal. Pied Piper a very interesting recruit to fences.
I bet my fair share of Joseph O’Brien horses, and his string entry muddies the water big time. Jordans is a horse I really like, but for this contest, San Salvador really jumps out
I’ll be betting Spanish Harlem at some point again this year, but had him more in mind for a couple of prizes later in the year, but the yards runners all worth a look here.
He might be top weight, but Jesse Evans is a reliable type, and probably good enough to carry the weight. Very interesting, as is Outside The Door
Eric McNamara is another trainer I like in these races, and Embittered is one I’ve been tracking, but he also has an interesting recruit in Weveallbeencaught
Moonovercloon and Mousey Brown also appeal at huge prices.
Fraught with danger this then, just too many appealing, and though a race where I always like an Antepost, I might just have to get the sensible head on, snd wait for Final Decs
It was difficult enough to even whittle down to this shortlist, so hopefully I’ll heed my own advice, snd wait

Started chipping away at Duffle Coat, but I’ll hopefully get bigger than this over next 24 hours.
I’ll let Three Card Brag win at his price, so leaving him unless he drifts, leaving me with.
Duffle Coat was a straightforward selection. Form Figures don’t look up to much, but I think he can still win something like this, so I’ll follow him till he tells me otherwise.
Had a late change of heart, and also added Spanish Harlem, having had another few in the shortlist
Almost had another change of heart, and added French Dynamite, but two is plenty here

September 23, 2025 at 18:17 #1740521Three card brag might have Aintree before Xmas as the target but still have to tickle
September 23, 2025 at 21:30 #1740527I expected bigger and better things from Salvador Ziggy and Sandor Clegane last season, but not to be. I will have a go on the pair of them and possibly Light M Strike, who might be a step below some of these, but he’s worth a look.
September 24, 2025 at 00:57 #1740534You ought to know nicely weighted on bumper form and could be open to improvement
September 24, 2025 at 09:34 #1740548A couple of darts thrown at this:
Shecouldbeanything 19/2 win only
Outside The Door 45/1 each way (1st 5)
Both BOG and boosted
Best of luck to all
