Congratulations to Kenny Johnson, former stalwart of the northern NH tracks as a jockey, he has had his first winner as a trainer at the 90th odd attempt today.

Been a while coming, but then so were his father’s winners sometimes! As a graduate of the Arthur Stephenson school of life he’ll understand the little-fish-taste-sweetest maxim well enough not to mind a jot that this initial win was gained with a 79-rated chaser in a moderate Newcastle handicap – may it be the first score of many for him.
