I just love this horse and wasn’t it great to see him win so well today, giving lumps of weight away and still full of enthusiasm for the game after a tough season. I do hope he can win the Fighting Fifth and go on to still better things.

Just wish he was mine :( ….jockey’s not bad either  – great ride.

    Me too.

Is there a gamer horse in training?

The constant debate is about his lack of size and scope to supposedly improve but the attitude and hurdling ability more than compensate for me

He is a favourite of mine too, i absolutely love him.

I was so lucky on Friday to see him up close too and have a good look at him, and he is a really laid back character too.

Such a gutsy and speedy horse, hope he has a great season again.

    What a fantastic horse.

Certainly as the will to win! DEGAS ART on the other hand looks a bit of a dog, given the way he travelled he should have ran away with it when asked to do so!!

KAUTO STAR looks as good as ever,if he could jump more consistantly he would be unbeatable in this sphere! MONETS GARDEN is 6 from 6 on seasonals, that must be some type of record in its own right!

Thought TIDAL BAY looked good for a novice having his first run, despite these fences looking easy they certainly catch out their fair share!!

This is going to sound a bit like an appreciation society but he is probably my current favourite horse and I hope he goes on to win the Champion Hurdle. He has so many fine attributes and although I might be slightly biased I think he was easily the most impressive winner at the Festival. The fact that he puts so much in makes you wonder how long he will be around but let’s enjoy the moment.

That was a game little run from Katchit today, a win off 159 isn’t a bad start to the season. Think he will come on for the run too.

Will he win the CH? Pressed for an answer, no. There’s a few in there that IMO we have still to see a great deal of improvement from. And then there’s the small matter of the reigning champion, if it’s soft I can’t see anything to touch Sublimity.

    Ive backed him at 10’s

    Happy with that

Quite a few leading contenders from last year wont be there or are downgrade. I think iktitaff is overrated and Sublimity might just have had run of things last time round

I’ll be laying him ante-post for the Champion Hurdle.

Because I think he’s got to improve a stone to win an average Champion Hurdle and he’s priced up as if he’s already good enough. The only question for me is to lay him now, or wait until after the Fighting Fifth.

Not sure about needing to improve a stone DJ, but i agree he needs to improve on todays run.

I’m always a tad cautious where handicap form is concerned, but that looked a decent effort to me

It was a tough performance but based on last years Champion Hurdle form would sublimity still not be the horse to beat? Sublimity for me :)

Probably FSL, but i’m not convinced by Sublimity yet, CH suited hold up horses imo, plus Iktitaf decking when going well, Straw Bear bursting, so i’ve got a ? a side of his CH performance

Personally I don’t think the form of this year’s Champion Hurdle is up to much – how many times has the winner gone to the well and done it. I don’t see anything obvious that Katchit has to fear – if he stays injury free and his schedule does not take it’s toll I think he is the one to beat – I certainly wouldn’t mind a double figure price.

All true, but who said this was an average Champion Hurdle? Looks an absolutely shocking division at present…

I took am not getting carried away with this years’ Champion Hurdle. Good performance from Sublimity, but i dont think he is anywhere near as good as Katchit.
