Just had it confirmed that thhis horse did die at Newcastle yesterday, in the same race as Celtic Dancer. I was pretty sure he had, but the RP didn’t mention him at all. Confirmed with Micky Hammond. Only 6 years old.
Very sad to read this Bonanzaboy. Obviously the horses that died in this race will not receive the same attention as those in the Grand National, but their passing is equally sad.
That’s at least five horses that were lost during racing yesterday, which is a horrendous figure. May they all rest in peace.
