With Johnson planning to back on Thursday is Hughes far enough clear in the championship , 19 clear , you get 12-1 for Johnston , anyone think there’s some value there ?
February 26, 2020 at 10:26 #1483890Seems reasonable at the price
What is the finish date.?Charles Darwin to conquer the World
February 26, 2020 at 10:27 #1483891Also he said he’s after it so you know he is motivated enough
Charles Darwin to conquer the World
February 26, 2020 at 19:18 #148393412/1 is too good to be true. Hughes can’t even win in 2- or 3-runner fields at a northern track.
Johnson on the other hand will get loads of good horses from the Hobbs stable, which will thrive from March onwards.
February 26, 2020 at 20:43 #1483948Who is offering 12/1?
I can only see 7/2 on oddschecker and 4.4 at Betfair.
February 26, 2020 at 21:04 #1483949Market history according to oddschecker

February 27, 2020 at 07:16 #1483980If I was Hughes, I would give Cheltenham a miss and try to get as many rides as I could that week at Sedgefield, Huntingdon, Hexham and Fakenham. There must be plenty of easy races to win there and it is winners that matter.
February 27, 2020 at 08:30 #1483983I hope you got plenty on at 12/1 He Didnt Like Ground.
February 27, 2020 at 17:08 #1484027This is a penalty kick for Johnson. The only thing Hughes can do, is to concentrate on that week during the Festival. As Cork All Star already pointed out, the only thing he can do is to go to those minor tracks and try to gain a few more wins.
The trouble is, that Hughes seems to have a rather poor agent. For such a high profile jockey you would have expected a higher number of rides, especially in the past weeks.
My book would be: Johnson 1/5 – Hughes 11/4
February 28, 2020 at 12:16 #1484105It is great to see Richard Johnson back in the saddle.
I hope he does win and more importantly gets to the line without too many bumps and bruises.
A great effort to get back so quickly.February 29, 2020 at 11:22 #1484235I did have a tickle of the 12,s , if Hughes doesn’t win he,s missed his best op , guys who do you think will be winning the championship in 2 to 3 years …I’d love to see Sean Bowen go close 1 year

I could imagine that Jonjo jr. might play a prominent role at some stage in his career. It is basically the same source that made AP a champion.
February 29, 2020 at 12:46 #1484245Being totally biased towards the Northern Circuit I’ve no problem who wins the Championship as long as it is Brian Hughes! He’s been knocking in the winners on all sorts over the years and deserves his time in the limelight.
February 29, 2020 at 13:57 #1484256He does deserve 1 , especially as he,s never really had a superstar horse

A superstar horse wouldn’t be adding many winners to the seasonal tally.
March 1, 2020 at 01:22 #1484309To be fair when your only rival for the title breaks a bone and is laid up for a significant time and you cannot put clear distance between you, you need a better agent or better connections.
If you wanted that title, you’d get on your bike and hit a few more tracks and ride for a lot more trainers. - AuthorPosts
