A good day yesterday with 2 winners and definitely worth following Mr G and AOB at the moment. Gosden has a nice colt going this afternoon but he is very skinny against a field that is full of potential so I’ll let him run. Some decent all-weather action tomorrow so back then..

April 1, 2021 at 11:26 #1533870John Gosden has a very nice horse today at Chelmsford called Fundamental in the 5:50 clocked a good time at Chelmsford as a 2 YO nice looking horse. I wanted 5/2 to have a bet but opened at 2/1
April 1, 2021 at 11:38 #1533871I’ve just seen I think you’ve mentioned him, sorry!
April 1, 2021 at 12:51 #1533877Hi Jimmy – yes I’m keeping an eye on the price but he’s only 5-4 right now. I’m also interested in the Stoute horse in that race who is a half-brother to Expert Eye and looked a big, scopey sort last back end. Shame it’s 7 runners..

April 1, 2021 at 15:32 #1533898Significant money for a Frankel colt who is running off a mark way lower than what he is capable of. Today could be the day..
£30 win Mujid – 4-1 – Chelmsford 5.20 lost

April 1, 2021 at 20:45 #1533930Another winner for G & S and Fundamental looks a nice sort though not a Guineas winner. He may have been beaten into 5th but I still liked the look of Duty of Care – he will win some nice races later in the year, maybe over further.
I have a couple of short-priced bets tomorrow. Two of them are in the care of a young, up and coming trainer who will be really big in a year or two – George Boughey. The other is an odds-on G & S who will win really easily and may even have an outside squeak in the Guineas. I’ve had a little AP just in case..
£30 win Cashew – 2-1 – Newcastle 1.40 lost
£100 win Magellan – 4-6 – Newcastle 3.25 winner
£30 win Khatm – 15-8 – Chelmesford 3.35 lost
£10 win trixie
£25ew Magellan – 40-1 – 2,000 Guineas"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
April 1, 2021 at 22:08 #1533940Fundamental won as expected, I ended up getting matched on Qaader at 27.0 which I thought was a crazy price with a saver on the favourite.
Have you seen Indie angel tomorrow at Lingfield? Last run was very impressive and cannot see the filly being beat atall with the exception of Fizzy feet stealing it from the front but I highly doubt it
April 2, 2021 at 15:43 #1534046One more for today. I’m surprised Apollo One isn’t fav after beating Magellan last time..
£30 win Apollo One – 11-4 – Lingfield 3.45 lost

April 2, 2021 at 18:33 #1534067Good win for Megallan today but I’m not sure we saw a Guineas winner..! That runner-up might be decent though..
A couple for tomorrow. Following the trainer in form:
£30 win Cadamosto – 7-4 – Cork 3.10 non-runner
£15ew Forest Of Dreams – 5-1 – Cork 3.45 lost
£30 win Modus Operandi – 2-1 – Cork 5.30 lost
£5 win trixie"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"

Just the one bet today. Lavender’s Blue is used to taking on much stiffer opposition than what she will face today and is a classy animal on her day. She’s a confident pick.
£60 win Lavender’s Blue – 3-1 – Kempton 4.02 winner

A nice win for Lavender’s Blue on what was also a very good day for Frankel. He had 5 winners from 6 runners in different parts of the world including a very promising winner at Kempton called Mostadhaf who could be a Royal Ascot type and the ultra impressive Big Five who won a listed race in a canter and is now 5 from 5. He could be a star stayer..
One bet for tomorrow. I’d be surprised if Waldonkig goes off odds-against as he is a group horse running in a handicap. He was 3rd to Mishriff and Volkan Star on his second start and then was only beat by Highest Ground next time out. He’ll take this before stepping back up on class.
£60 win Waldonkig – 11-8 – Pontefract 2.00 winner

Another winner yesterday and Waldonkig will definitely go on to better things especially if he gets an easier surface.
I’ve had a few bets today at Gowran and Nottingham. Elizabethan would be my bet of the day as I am sure she is group class and will love this ground and trip. She is running off a very light weight as a 3-year-old against her elders. The stable are in great form and should have at least two as they have a promising maiden called Frill that is expected to go a lot better this year. At Nottingham I’ve backed a couple of SMS horses who showed promise last year. Mashoor ran in a hot maiden at Newbury and was unfavoured by where the race unfolded. I’d be surprised if he wasn’t much better this year and on this ground. I want to take on the fav in the 4.40 with Astro King who improved each run last year and should go well and I’ve also taken a chance that Mark Johnston has got Sir Ron Priestley reasonably fit for his first outing of the season. If he is then he’ll take all the beating.
£15ew Mashoor – 5-1 – Nottingham 2.10 winner
£30 win Sir Ron Priestley – 11-4 – Nottingham 4.10 winner
£15ew Astro King – 11-2 – Nottingham 4.40 winner
£60 win Elizabethan – 2-1 – Gowran Park 4.30 lost
£30 win Frill – 15-8 – Gowran Park 6.00 lost
£1 win Super Yankee +£206.13"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
April 7, 2021 at 17:42 #1534833Covering myself in the last after a fantastic day so far.
£30 win Ubuntu – 11-2 – Gowran Park 6.00 lost

A really good day with 3 winners but who would have thought I’d be let down by Mr O’Brien?!! My favourite winner was Sir Ron who looked as good as ever and should have a good season. Mashoor is definitely a horse going places as he only really got going in the last half furlong. He’ll be Royal Ascot bound I reckon.
Nothing much for tomorrow but it all really heats up this weekend and into next week…

April 11, 2021 at 12:26 #1535849Some fantastic racing today and I’ve had a few bets at Leopardstown.
There has been a flood of money for the Frankel colt in the first who is beautifully bred and could be better than these. I was torn between Monaasib and A Case Of You as they are the two with proven form in what looks a weak Guineas trial with Aiden only running his 5th or 6th strings. If any of them win the rest can probably all pack up and go home! I’ve done the forecast and backed Monaasib each way. I think my 1,000 Guineas AP bet Joan Of Arc is a massive price in the other trial and it can only be because of jockey bookings. She must be a good ew bet as must be Mehnah who is well thought of. I do think the fav is rock solid in the Ballysax though.
£15ew Corps Des Pages 9-2 – Leopardstown 1.40 placed
£15ew Monaasib – 11-2 – Leopardstown 2.10 placed
£15ew Joan Of Arc 9-1 – Leopardstown 2.40 lost
£15ew Mehnah – 12-1 – Leopardstown 2.40 placed
£30 win Bolshoi Ballet – Leopardstown 3.45 winner
£1ew Yankee +£45
£15 rev f/c Monaasib and A Case Of You – Leopardstown 2.10"this perfect mix of poetry and destruction, this glory of rhythm, power and majesty: the undisputed champion of the world!!!"
April 11, 2021 at 13:18 #1535862Any thoughts on the Frankel colt over at Longchamp in the 3.45 Media Stream? Seemed to get bogged down in the bad ground last time behind Pretty Tiger but is surely better than that…5/1 seems good value considering connections!
April 11, 2021 at 13:26 #1535866Nice you back Joni hope things ok with you i started my flat thread to with ante post bets as well
