It has come to my attention in recent months that the flat jockey’s who are riding an inevitable winner begin to ease just at the winning post and continue just after.
The result of this sees the runners in behind appear to "fly" home in many of the cases they go right past the winner after the post giving the impression they have run strongly whilst the winner has been on empty.
I think this is a really impressive technique and does actually have tremendous impacts on the Handicappers impression and in the large part also a majority of punters.
