Jockey Club to limit alcohol purchases

Cheltenham Festival racegoers will be restricted to buying four alcoholic drinks at a time in a bid to crack down on anti-social antics.

The measure is also to be imposed at the Jockey Club’s other racecourses.

A pointless move: people will drink more quickly during the day, rendering them even more drunk.

It will achieve nothing and only serve to cause arguments for the staff at the bar. Typical knee jerk reaction that we see so often nowadays, just because a few idiots cause trouble everyone is punished.
