I am smashing into Monalee left and right here @ 6/1 NRNB. Connections must surely see this as a more winnable race than the RSA
February 26, 2018 at 13:29 #1344063First ITCF, now this.
Not been a good week for me.
February 26, 2018 at 13:32 #1344065Poison in the foot, they said uncertain, but it seems unlikely as theyv given a timeframe of how quick it needs to heal
Monalee has both at his feet id say, but rsa seems to be more favoured
February 26, 2018 at 14:36 #1344077Monalee v Presenting Percy is a battle I’m looking forward to; hopefully they both go RSA. Invitation Only for this at 4/1 NRNB seems big now; as long as Monalee stays in The RSA
February 26, 2018 at 22:14 #1344145I did Terrefort for this at 25/1 but I am surprised he is still in the betting at a general 12/1 now, because Nicky Henderson had suggested they would not rush the horse this year. Maybe the owners felt they may have done too much, too soon with Bristol De Mai and want to go canny with Terrefort.
Paul Nicholl’s Cyrname was 2nd to Terrefort last time and I was surprised to see him 9/4 for the Pendil Chase when betting opened. The race cut up badly and Cyrname went off 2/5 before romping home readily (Despite the rider losing his irons.
If Terrefort does take his place in the field I don’t think you could entirely rule him out but he lacks experience and is young. Still, at 25/1 it will be a bit of fun, win or lose and I’ll settle for that.
Surprised to see Willoughby Court at 4/1 in several places

Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
February 27, 2018 at 09:47 #1344169Really hope Monalee goes here. Jumps out and is prominent or makes all.
For me in the AB last year, he was outstayed.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 27, 2018 at 10:04 #1344170Completely agree Jack. I will be buzzing if he comes here.
February 27, 2018 at 15:12 #1344214RSA has been the target all along for Monalee; they booked a new jockey and all due to Davy’s ties with Presenting Percy. Would they change up because of one horse?
February 27, 2018 at 15:33 #1344215Vautour, fairly certain HDB said after the win it was between the two, but they had sided with RSA initially…didnt 100% rule JLT out though.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!February 28, 2018 at 11:08 #1344311Willoughby Court confirmed absentee.
Monalee would be really interesting if he turned up here…
February 28, 2018 at 12:11 #1344321Have had to take the nrnb about monalee for this now as charlie alluded to, heavily invested in the rsa and he wont be 6/1 for this if he shows which wont be near as good a result for me if he came here instead of the rsa.
February 28, 2018 at 12:44 #1344324Willoughby Court out. Double blow of Cheltenham misery for the Rooneys. Surely they deserve better luck
March 1, 2018 at 13:36 #1344437Why is this race only a grade 2?
March 1, 2018 at 15:40 #1344446Since when? Is still registered as a grade 1..
March 1, 2018 at 17:20 #1344464I was on Irish racing website looking at the entries for this race and it said Grade 2
March 2, 2018 at 00:37 #1344500Was upgraded in 2014 to Grade 1. You can’t always trust websites to update changes.
Thanks for the good crack. Time for me to move on. Be lucky.
March 2, 2018 at 01:03 #1344501To be fair, it barely looks Grade 2 standard this year after all the defections.
