Might have a piece of RIVER TIBER closer to the time but for now just had a playful bet on NEVER SO BRAVE at 10/1.
Form of his latest Chester win hasn’t exactly worked out but he pulled clear enough on a tight track on good ground to warrant upgrading the effort.
2 year old form stands out with a 2nd to Ancient Wisdom on debut and then beaten by Vandeek on his debut, doesn’t mean a lot for now but always worth a mention and will probably get a mention every time her runs.

Task force is surely massively overpriced

He beat river tiber in the middle park

And then was way too free in the guineas

    7f should suit perfectly

    I’d have him 7 or 8/1 not 14s

But is he going to win? ;o)

“But is he going to win?”

That sound like a combination of a mystery and a skill game

Had another look at this, probably should have snuck a piece on TASK FORCE given the price earlier stated by Mike. But had a bit of a mad one instead, backed NEVER SO BRAVE but my opinion now is he is not value, the bet stands anywhoo.
I have also backed BOILING POINT at 22/1 as I think the field size could bring out more than hes shown in the 4 and 6 runner races this season. The silly one is a poke on KORTEZ BAY at 125/1 who might just be better for finally getting his head in front. A sneak into 4th place is what I’m hoping for either of those two.

I like Boiling Point Chivers, he makes up the tricast

    1st River Tiber
    2nd Haatem
    3rd Boiling Point

Was he too free though FF? Ive watched the guineas back about 10 times and im not so sure he was that keen and haatem had him well behind at the furlong pole, race fitness favoured haatem and the 3lb swing is huge at this trip

So i can see the angle, the middle park form he definitely out battles river tiber, RT had 5 runs at that point and TF only had 3,

I still think theres a good chance haatem will defy the penalty here back at 7f and wins this, id have task force ahead of river tiber though who i actually think looks more of a miler than the other two

Nice race, wont be betting or laying though, if anything else gets in the front 3 id be surprised

I think the penalty and the drop in trip is all against Haatem.

For me – his poor price makes several of his main rivals value.

Have backed Task Force and Never So Brave and at a bigger price (for similar reasons to Task Force) Night Raider. Saved on River Tiber.

I’m with Chivers on Boiling Point and Kortez Bay, the latter was still quite green on reappearance but improving and his trainer loves him. Hope he copes with the prelims OK, he has a red hood and can get a bit fizzy.
Also have to put a bit on Mountain Bear who should have come on a lot fitness wise.

Yes Grass, Mountain Bear can’t be dismissed either
I also think Zoum Zoum could be a big price
I’m all in on River Tiber though… :rose:

Richard “You’ve assembled a good team here”
“But before you enter the Crystal Dome you still have to play a mental and a physical game”

BigG will play the physical game

Richard “Just take the Crystal” “but I still need a member of your team to play the mental game”

Well Chezza is banned so I’m left with Gamble, he’s not here at the moment but is it okay if he brings the thread back up in 10 years time?

Hardest race for me today to actually stick to something, but I’ve went Son for an interest, as unlikely as it looks

This is tricky but I think Task Force who has not run since the Guineas, out of Special Duty by Frankel what’s not to like.
