    Yes he does have a tendency to lay it on a bit thick at times but then again, I find that no televised sport is immune to being fronted by irritating presenters and/or pundits though.

    That is why the mute button can very often become your very best friend.

    While I understand the sentiment expressed in favour of the programme, people here will know I’m no fan of the presenters, but why oh WHY do they pack it with ex jockey’s?
    To my mind the presenters in general don’t seem to do much if any research into the horses, stable form etc …. believing they can get away with the minimum of effort to a audience with not very much knowledge?

    Only adele seems to have any handle on stable form and has a good eye for a horse thats ready to run well. Too many of the presenters go off vibes and set narratives and have their favourites which isnt helpful where you are trying to find the winner.

    We all have our wee foibles but she comes across as someone who knows horses and passes on loads of good pieces of info. Hayley turner really listenable too. Imho of course.
