I even woke up at 5.30 (unheard of for me; I’m not a morning person!). Bad news for Labour though given that the Tories will regroup. I’ve always felt that the forensic Starmer is the perfect foil for Johnson’s lies and he proved it today. I’ve always said it’s like when a mass murderer is caught by having an out of date tax disc, Johnson’s downfall has been by one of the least awful of the things he’s done over the years. However much politicians disagree with the oppositions politics they’ve always had respect for each other. Tony Benn once told me of the mutual respect he and Thatcher had. But I don’t think anyone has respect for Johnson.
