Lastly there was a poll I could link
Black Africans on Europe were asked which states had they experienced racism and prejudice in
By far the lowest incidence was England. Yes England
The worst. ? Finland. And ….. Ireland
April 22, 2022 at 17:36 #1595235I’ve lived in France and spent a lot of time in Spain (had a Spanish girlfriend for three years) and have never experienced any issues in either country.
That’s not to say that racism doesn’t exist in those countries- it exists everywhere- but your attempt to portray this country as being some multiracial Utopia is way out.
April 22, 2022 at 17:38 #1595236If you had bothered to read my post, I described myself as from a nationalist background. I’m not a nationalist; our young people deserve a future, whether that means remaining in the UK under permanent Tory rule and without representation, or as part of a united Ireland with all the difficulties that will involve, is open to debate.
April 22, 2022 at 18:11 #1595241Have you seen the polls in France gladiteur? It’s been in the news as it happens
What do you consider le pen to be exactly?
I’m not saying it’s a utopia but by most measures it’s far more integrated than the vast majority of European states.
April 22, 2022 at 18:12 #1595242And all I’m saying is that my lived experience does not match your rhetoric.
April 22, 2022 at 18:12 #1595243Ok Befair. That’s fair enough but why is it permenant? Labour is leading the polls by quite a margin presently
April 22, 2022 at 18:16 #1595244You’re lived experience was encountering over 4/10 voting for le pen and one in ten voting for the other crank
And don’t say the tories are the same. The cabinet make up is proof of that at the very least
I don’t like much of what comes from this government but it’s a world away from le pens rhetoric
And why the banning of headscarf’s for Muslims proposed by so many in European states as an example. What is that other than bigotry. I don’t even recall the likes of farage coming out with that nonsense
April 22, 2022 at 18:37 #1595249The cabinet make up is the very definition of tokenism. Anyone who thinks that the Tory party isn’t fundamentally racist clearly hasn’t been paying attention.
April 22, 2022 at 18:48 #1595251Absolute crap. And you think you know better than the likes of Zaharia javid kwateng and sunak to name just four. All very high achievers, way beyond anyone on this forum it would be fair to say, who you dismiss as uncle Tom’s
None of them need the Tory party and all could make way more money outside of politics. And have done so as well
The arrogance and stupidity of the left
April 22, 2022 at 18:55 #1595252Jesus ……imagine calling Zahari or javid an uncle tom ….to their face.
And that’s not to mention priti Patel.
It would be akin to rolling up and calling Tyson fury a ******* pikey
April 23, 2022 at 12:32 #1595351“****** idiot ” is all that’s required to describe Patel
April 23, 2022 at 12:50 #1595355Just do a quick Google search, Clive, and you’ll see just how many racist incidents there have been involving the Conservatives.
They have appointed these brain dead puppets to positions of authority purely to try to show that they aren’t racist and to try to attract votes from ethnic minorities.
Anyway, that’s my last word on the matter. You clearly have your agenda and think you know everything- as you’re so quick to say everyone on the left is the same, I’ll counter that your knowall attitude is typical of “the right” and leave it at that.
April 23, 2022 at 15:26 #1595398Toys pram
April 23, 2022 at 17:01 #1595413Don’t see how the cabinet can be described as “tokenism” when no government before has had as many members of the ethnic minorities.
Value Is EverythingApril 23, 2022 at 17:11 #1595414No government before has been so desperate to attract votes from people of colour, Ginge.
April 23, 2022 at 18:02 #1595418Nothing about attracting votes Gladiateur. If they didn’t employ ‘people of colour’ they would have been called racists.
They can never win in some eyes.April 23, 2022 at 18:49 #1595424The idea that those names are somehow not up to the job but just appointed by colour is …. Racist perhaps?
