”Won’t he pass on his knowledge to Patrick, or whoever else takes over, when he retires?”
Did Martin pass it on to David?
May 4, 2025 at 21:54 #1729475I see it as more a Jack to Alan Berry transition.

Paddy Mullins passed it on to Willie anyway.
As racehorses, Sadlers Wells < Galileo < Frankel.
I suspect Willie is the Frankel, and I don’t think Frankel himself will ever throw anything as good as himself- trees don’t grow to the sky after all. He still throws good ones though.November 1, 2025 at 22:33 #1743597Now he wins the Breeders Cup Turf with a 25-1 shot breaking the course record.
The more I know the less I understand.
November 1, 2025 at 22:38 #1743599Too bad, it can’t run in the Melbourne Cup. Be sure it will improve come next Flat season and nice too see the big guns (Coolmore, Godolphin, etc.) drawing a blank in that race.
November 2, 2025 at 04:19 #1743608Hilarious listening to the Americans who seem to have no idea he’s the best trainer in the world just now
November 2, 2025 at 07:02 #1743609The owners of Caulfield Cup winner should buy whoever came up with the BS rules in Melbourne a big drink as Ethical Diamond would have lapped that field a few weeks back , Half Yours wouldn’t have seen him .
November 2, 2025 at 10:41 #1743620Supremely talented trainer. Nothing but admiration for the man.

I found it funny too.
Mullins appeared into the Breeders Cup and unleashed his power like Superman. All that was missing was the Superman theme tune 😂November 4, 2025 at 20:51 #1743847Just a fabulous trainer and an absolute gentleman. Very similar to aidan in so many ways but where he differs in his delegation to others he trusts like David casey and of course his son. He does have fantastic owners but he makes it all tick over beautifully. Eras come and go but right now very hard to see either aidan or mullins juggernaut slowing down.
November 4, 2025 at 20:54 #1743848And no its never boring to watch top folk at work. I can see why some think it and its great when smaller stables win group ones but you can’t help but admire what they do.
November 4, 2025 at 21:13 #1743850Obrien has to heed to Coolmore , Mullins as Gigginstown found out heeds to no one , he’s the best
November 5, 2025 at 20:07 #1743927He really is, and proved it beyond any doubt this weekend. Ethical Diamond is a grand horse but there’s no way a horse with his profile would have even been considered for the Breeders Cup if he’d been trained by anyone else, let alone romp away with one of the top races in record time. AOB is a great trainer but his record is boosted by the lack of competition in group races in Ireland and in staying flat races generally. Quite a few of his high profile (and expensive) horses underperform whereas Mullins always seems place his horses perfectly to get the best out of even the least promising.
November 5, 2025 at 21:45 #1743930He has managed to get Absurde out to Australia three years in a row , ran in four races and with credit everytime . Picked up about 660k AUD , about 340 UKP. About paid for expenses and given owners a few fun days . Mullins is a genius .The diverse races , places he can place a horse and give a good account is unmatched .
November 26, 2025 at 14:38 #1745625Not sure how much they got for her but Paggane is looking a cracking buy out of Mullins yard for Bramley , only 6 , maybe Willie is losing his touch …
November 26, 2025 at 14:42 #1745626100k , looks a cheap buy
