Is being a throughbred a good enough excuse to be able to run in British Racing today?
I was thinking that there should be a means of making sure a horse is more than worthy of racing in this country than just it’s breeding.
To be a registered Racehorse in this country you should have at least earnt your way to a mark of 85.
The BHA should provide racecourses retired pacemakers over every distance and offer out potential Racehorses and their owners a chance to take part in events for non monetry prizes but assign the pacemaker a mark of 80 and then work out the finishing positions and give out a BHA order of merit to permit your horse to race within the UK.
Of course this would give plenty of retired racehorses some action and involvement.
