King Of Steal of a price @ 3/1. Really impressed with this fella, hopefully he can get a group 1 on the board. Word of warning though, the last horse to win this race without a group 1 to it’s name was Pentire all the way back in 1995 (Geoff Wragg/Michael Hills)
September 9, 2023 at 05:28 #1662250This has shock written all over it , Rodin at 3s is a shocking price and King of Steel was put in his place by the older horses last time
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026

Different ground today and not as far.
September 9, 2023 at 08:23 #1662256I’d like Stott to sit first 4 following the pace and then kicking ‘Derby style’. Riding too far back might get the horse into some trouble.
September 9, 2023 at 12:12 #1662300Sprewell @36s for me
Funny race this, nothing standout but deep g1 form all round
September 9, 2023 at 13:10 #1662314I’m with you ham, and I have taken 33-1 ew
September 9, 2023 at 13:55 #1662328I’ve backed Spreewell to , couldn’t back any of those at the front of the market at the prices
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
September 9, 2023 at 14:05 #1662331Just a watching race for me but I would select Alfaila solely based on the improvement these Shadwell horses are showing.
The more I know the less I understand.
September 9, 2023 at 15:21 #1662355Onesto on 8/1 is quite good, but I hate backing. Frankie again. I’ll stay with my AP bet on Nashwa.
September 9, 2023 at 15:22 #1662358Got to be against Rodin.
Backed Nashwa and Lux with Steel saver
Value Is EverythingSeptember 9, 2023 at 15:26 #1662360Well done GM23.
September 9, 2023 at 15:26 #1662361Cracking stuff from Team Ballydoyle. Chapeau.
At the opposite end of the scale, that commentator (Jerry Hannon?) needs to go. He’s awful.
September 9, 2023 at 15:27 #1662362Incredible. Although Luxembourg and Point Lonsdale made sure the pace was set up for him. Coolmore wanted that 10 furlong Group 1 on his CV!
Can’t help feeling both Nashwa and King of Steel were both too far back and disadvantaged by jockeys who do not ride at Leopardstown very often.
September 9, 2023 at 15:27 #1662363What was the rest doing behind the new Ballydoyle pacemaker Luxembourg? The three had a pretty uncontested lead. It was still an outstanding performance, but it turned into a two horse race from the start.
Yes Glad, he needs to go. That was awful!!!!
September 9, 2023 at 15:28 #1662364Oops.
Brilliant tactics by Coolmore.Value Is EverythingSeptember 9, 2023 at 15:28 #1662365The only way he could have won it was by his stable companions making it a true test but he was all out at the end – Nashwa ran another great race considering how far back she was and fair play to Luxembourg who was on the front end the whole way and rallied when headed.
No clue how you rate the overall form as they were all in a heap at the finish.
September 9, 2023 at 15:32 #1662367Will King of Steel win a group 1 …. He had everything he needed today
Pick 3 on Saturday champion 2025/2026
