I’ve taken a chance here on El Fabiolo at 10-1 as there was a lot more encouragement on his last run
February 1, 2026 at 14:24 #1752971This should really be a.watching brief, but I’ve taken 11-4 on Brighterdaysahead
February 1, 2026 at 14:25 #1752972Lossiemouth to beat Better days ahead Inc forecast
February 1, 2026 at 14:56 #1753007Poniros ew at 33s for me.
February 1, 2026 at 15:12 #1753018Brighterdaysahead at 100/30 WIN with a small saver on El Fabiolo at 8/1. I have reversed them in a forecast.
February 1, 2026 at 15:19 #1753025Poniros is quite a price at 33/1 in a five-runner field.
February 1, 2026 at 15:21 #1753027Fancy Lossiemouth but she’s far too short for me.
Have a small stake on El Fabiolo at 9/1 but wouldn’t be Slevins biggest fan.
February 1, 2026 at 15:27 #1753031Well done Eezer and Ruby
February 1, 2026 at 15:28 #1753034Thanks green. That was her Champion Hurdle imo. Poniros ran on quite strongly, but he might be just top handicap class.
February 1, 2026 at 15:31 #1753039Out of all this prob the happiest man is Skelton
February 1, 2026 at 15:32 #1753040WD Winners.
Brighterdaysahead absolutely phenomenal 2 years running. Very similar to Apples Jade in that she’s a superstar in Ireland but can’t travel.
After watching that, I really can’t see Lossiemouth recovering in time to be at her best at Cheltenham. She was absolutely emptied there.
I’d say The New Lion is going to be so hard to beat in the big one now. Of Course we all know Constitution Hill would probably hose up with a clear round.
If Lossie gets switched to the mares yet again, I wouldn’t be overly confident on her beating Wodhooh either.
February 1, 2026 at 15:33 #1753041Beautiful
She was 66-1 for the main event when I had my light bulb moment.
February 1, 2026 at 15:34 #1753043Sadly he can’t jump those pesky hurdles anymore so is now a all weather flat horse …. at 9

Some people have short memories…
February 1, 2026 at 15:37 #1753047I just don’t think she like Cheltenham , were Lossiemouth loves the place

Hasn’t finished off a race for over a year so for all we know his wind could be shot. I bet they’re tempted after today though
February 1, 2026 at 16:03 #1753062Rich Ricci said: “Something looked wrong today, and it was very strange from the second hurdle. Paul said she was beaten a long way from home so we’ll have her scoped and see if anything is up. It looked very strange. We’ll figure it out and see what’s next”
Asked if Lossiemouth’s defeat means it’ll be the Mares’ Hurdle at Cheltenham, he said: “I have no clue [what we’ll do].”
I have to admit when watching the replay the horse’s head was slightly cocked to one side, and it didn’t look smooth sailing from an early stage.
