I’m so excited by those entries Ian and Ive already taken the 12/I for the Fillies Mile.
She has to take on Guineas favourite Ylang Ylang and they both have to prove they stay the mile, however See The Fire has the advantage of having won at Newmarket albeit in my back garden on the July Course, but she should find no problem on the Rowley Mile where if she wins (and I hope she will) we could be looking at the new Guineas favourite.
The Rockfel would be interesting and as she is so lightly raced..why not both.
Wherever she runs I’m certain she will do well and end her first season with some black type to her name. .. It’s not a brilliant picture but you can see she is extremely laid back just like her sire STS and she looks like him too.

I think you’re right about Ylang Ylang going for the Moyglare and Opera Singer heading to Newmarket for the Fillies Mile. Either way it’s going to add some interest to the end of season Group races.
My filly has a lot to prove if she’s going to take on the mighty Coolmore ladies but she has a pedigree that says she can.. Jac
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...August 29, 2023 at 10:23 #1661471Opera Singer’s win hasn’t done one my antepost picks Red Viburnum any harm at this stage – she got within a head of Opera Singer on racecourse debut flying at the finish when Opera Singer was having her 3rd start.
And my other one, See The Fire, has some fancy entries by the look of it.
August 29, 2023 at 10:44 #1661472Red Vibernum certainly ran a promising race on debut, but the fact is she was getting weight from those who beat her and she has yet to even win a race of any description, let alone a Maiden.
Not the profile of a horse I’d consider value for a Classic at 33/1, but each to their own.
I suspect Opera Singer showed improved form last time out – possibly a surprise to some as she’s had a few runs already, but it can and does happen.

Exactly. I am hoping Red Vibernum can also benefit from racecourse experience. She has a Moyglare entry.
September 6, 2023 at 19:19 #1662043I’ve taken the 33s about Alshinfarah in anticipation that she’ll dot up in the Prix d’Aumale tomorrow.
September 6, 2023 at 19:52 #1662046It makes me sad that some cannot just enjoy seeing a Prix d’Aumale winner hose up in the 1,000 Guineas without needing to have anything as squalid as a bet on it.
Such people are the sort who just won’t spread the love with continental cheese omlettes.

there’s almost nothing more sordid than seeing some unworthy chap making an undeserved monetary gain through a chance momentary odds miscalculation in a purely championship race by an innocent odds provider.September 6, 2023 at 21:17 #1662059Brilliantly put, sir!

September 10, 2023 at 15:59 #1662540Haven’t seen a filly yet this season that looks a guineas winner
Look a modest bunch atm
September 11, 2023 at 06:43 #1662610See The Fire entered for the May Hill at Doncaster on Thursday, Oisin Murphy riding.
Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...September 14, 2023 at 15:21 #1662940I’m not unhappy with that from See The Fire. Just showed a bit of inexperience ducking into the other horse on ground different to what it will likely be in May.
