It’s hard to see past the favourite Tihiyra. Her maiden win followed by
an impressive win in the Moyglare and best of all her race with Mawj
in the 1000 Guineas, the pair pulling well clear of the field makes
her the one to beat. The only thing I don’t like about her are her
    odds of 1/2.

I’ve watched all the others races and I reckon the best looking E/W
shot is You Send Me. She’s only run 3 times, as has Tihayra, but
in her 2nd run at Cork, albeit a Maiden, she was the only one in
this at a price that impresssed me. She didn’t do a lot wrong on
her step up to Group 3 last time going down by a battling 1/2L
to Power Under Me, rated 15lb higher.

She’s had 3 weeks to get over that and to my eye looks to be an
improving sort. I’ll have a bit with Skybet, I think she’s overpriced.

You Send Me 25/1 E/W Skybet

(a little bit on a f/c wouldn’t go amiss either)

Its hard to see past her but at the same time she’s not a 1/2 chance, there’s too many unknowns to make any 3yo filly at this stage of the season 1/2, they can just grow another leg in terms of improvement out of nowhere, particularly as the ground so far has mostly been unseasonably soft and its turned now. I don’t know what I’ll take her on with yet but I thought it was very curious he’s also running another in the same ownership, might be a pacemaker but it didn’t look like Tahiyra particularly needed one.

Just to add on them pulling miles clear they’ve been assessed for now as 118 horses by the BHA and that is a fairly good standard but its not like they’re miles better than previous winners of the race. Technically on that assessment Tahiyra has not improved from 2 to 3 yet albeit she was very good at 2. The 3rd horse ran to 103 which normally would be Listed/G3 level for a filly so the number of runners in the 1000 Guineas mask the lack of quality amongst the numbers.

I think Tahiyra will win this Graham but 4/9 with Paddy Power is not a price I’d be happy to back her at. She was slowly away at Newmarket and then met a little trouble in running before that exciting battle up the hill with Mawj to the finish of the 1000 Guineas. The ground was very sticky but both horses came back to the winners looking fresh it didn’t take that much out of either of them

Like you I’m looking for a bigger price to take her on or just to place with maybe a Rev.forecast so who else but the daughter of my favourite, sadly passed, dam Jacqueline Quest and sire Galileo…

For anyone interested, Tahiyra is 5/4 to win by 2 lengths or more with Skybet. I’ve put some loose change on Eternal Silence at 15/2 without Tahiyra and a top 3 finish 11/4.
She was 3rd in the Moyglare on soft ground but will appreciate better ground so any improvement on that run might bring her into the picture.

Tarawa at 16s ew is my bet.
When the trainer was asked about Tahiyra before the 1000gns at Newmarket, he said a bit about her and then something like “I have another good one at home you know” meaning Tarawa.

I’m in agreement with you on Jackie oh Triptych.
What a pity she didn’t run at Newmarket.
I’m not sure how many years now since her dam was disqualified at HQ.

It was in 2010 Sam the race was awarded to Special Duty.
Always remember that day, her owner was inconsolable and if you look at that race now Jacqueline Quest would have kept the race.
I hope her daughter does her proud today.🐎💫
    Good luck.

Meditate @5.5s+ As with yesterday, id be more than happy to forget newmarket, she thrived off racing last season and she fits the typical obrien filly typed for me, fully expecting her to be atleast a close second and given the price of tahiyra its a no brainer for me

    A few penny’s on

    Dower House 219/1 win
    100/1 Each Way

Rubbish form but Aidan seems to have a late bloomer from time to time that ran a lot as a two year old.
This horse is no Snowfall but does have a nice pedigree
