Time for our weekly look at the week-ends big Handicap; this week we have the International HCap from Ascot.

So, what are we looking for trends wise?[/color:pg4m30v0]
Ran in a Class 2 LTO and must have won over 7f.
Preferably 4yo but 5yo also have a good record. Annoyingly for me 6yo and above have a dire record!
Must have won a race of £9k value.
Must have run in the last 40 days and also had between 3-5 races on turf this season.
Must have contested a HCap worth £30k [/color:pg4m30v0]this season.
Ratings wise OR 93+ and 96+ have excellent record.
Ideally at least placed LTO.

Having taken all the above into account my 2 fancies both fall down; especially as they are 6yo!

I have backed Brae Hill [/color:pg4m30v0]as his form is strong in many of the top races this season and he has the beating of all his rivals that he has ran against this year! 20s is very fair indeed and should he be allowed to take his place come Saturday he WILL go off closer to 10s!!

My 2nd selection is more a ‘hunch’ as he also misses the age stat! However, i like the look of Mr Fahey’s second intended runner in JUSTONEFORTHEROAD[/color:pg4m30v0] as he has contested 2 very good races since his last win! Generally a 20s/25s shot Joes have got this massively wrong by going 40s. It was worth taking the chance that he turns up as he will start less than 20s and allow me to lay some off for a free bet!

Having ignored the trends ‘winner’ of Bonnie Brae last week-end I am doing the same again this week as he comes from a yard that i used to make thousands from but since the head honcho changed I cannot get close! Eton Forever comes out as a 100% smash on the trends but I cannot back him due to missing the majority of Varian winners so far!

Comments/selections welcome chaps and lasses <!– s:D –>:D<!– s:D –>
