March 10, 2006 at 17:30 #68147Good post over at Diane’s this evening about the ATR/SIS time difference ……..worth a look !
March 11, 2006 at 00:31 #68149Googling "Diane’s racing forum" gets me lots of information about fast cars in America. Is there something more precise I should be putting into the net’s leading search engine?
Racing: What Cheltenham means to me
For trainers, jockeys, punters, the landlords of Cotswold pubs and even racing reporters the best week of the year has come around again… the heady human and equine brew which is the Festival. Interviews by Chris McGrath
Published: 11 March 2006

March 13, 2006 at 13:58 #68159Thanks zilzal. That’s a good article. Interesting that all favs at 2/1 or shorter over last 5 festivals have returned a profit. Hada quick look on Adrian Massey database and you would have had 23 bets in that period withh 11 winners. The full list is

March 15, 2006 at 13:15 #68160Betfair are reported to be unhappy at not getting credit from C4 for Exchange info. Perhaps Betfair should be just grateful for the amount of publicity the exchange market gets from the broadcaster.
Given that the Tote are keeping this show on the road I don’t believe C4 are doing enough for Tote Customers in the way of race number info, Tote market prices and Tote SP results. The Tote afterall will attract more new people to racing and betting than the traditional bookmakers and the exchanges.

March 20, 2006 at 08:33 #68164Plenty in today’s papers for those who prefer the proceeding analysis to the preceeding hype of Cheltenham.
Alan Lee delivers an entertainig two page diary of his Festive experience. Disagree with him on his criticism of the post-race jockey interviews. Anthing that brings the racecourse home to the armchair has to be a good thing.

Festival facilities need update
Reference in today’s Paris Turf to the proposed All Weather fixture at Musselburgh is deeply depressing. However good the surface is at Lingfield, for me it’s a glorified dog-track with positioning on the turn all-important.
