Both of them declared dead four days later after running in the same race on September 18th at Chelmsford under the same ownership and trained by Brian Ellison.
Strange things seem to happen to bad racehorses. May both rest in peace.

Be interesting back story , theres coincidences but this seems strange .
They should check track if both were injured in that race .Owner has a few horses in training, most of the haven’t raced for 10-15 months. Like Locomotive and Girl From Italy trained by Mark Walford and unraced since July last year or Gidwa and Power Of Zeus both last ran in January 2025. These are terrible horses with (almost) no wins to their names. You don’t keep them in training. I wonder if the BHA knows anything about his string of horses.
I have refrained from commenting recently but the loss of these 2 horses has deeply saddened me. I have watched the replay of the race & can confidently say that both animals were struggling in the race & Bestoleads looked very uncomfortable towards the end. Both horses were clearly not meant to be racehorses & I can only apologise on their behalf that that was not acknowledged by their owners
