Imperial Shabra broke down and died at Tramore today. An honest, genuine horse who tried so hard, had run a huge number of times, often above his class. Gutted. A legend.

August 18, 2013 at 17:25 #448758It’s only a week or so ago that his trainer said he was the toughest horse in Ireland. Very sad. He always tried his best

August 19, 2013 at 06:58 #448794Just seen this in the RP results. Such sad news. One of my favourites. RIP.
August 19, 2013 at 16:42 #448845I thought it was just me that loved him – nice to see that others cared about him too. The RP have said some nice things about him as well. You rarely find out how the connections feel about their horses, but at least some people cared about this horse. I just wish it hadn’t happened.
