Wallace isn’t in every episode of the Professionals show. Unfortunately he will be in the final episode, which will no doubt embarrass the BBC but there is not much they can do about it.
In all honesty, I never understood why he was still involved with the Professionals show. Marcus Wareing and Monica Galetti are entirely capable of hosting it themselves, as they do in several episodes each series.
I think Wallace’s involvement was because when the Professional version started, it was initially quite low key and the main chef was Michel Roux Jnr, who did not have much television experience. Wallace was there to do the presenting but over time his role on this version of the Masterchef franchise diminished, to the extent that Roux took over and Wallace was reduced to being described as “the diner”.
If anything, his role has become even more peripheral since Marcus Wareing took over. The chefs clearly only want to impress him. I doubt they care much what Wallace thinks.
It does seem a bit unsatisfactory that Michel Roux was forced to step down from the show over some sort of commercial issue, whereas Wallace was allowed to continue when he might have been behaving unprofessionally.

December 8, 2024 at 15:11 #1715018Must admit I’ve never liked Wallace, don’t like cookery progs anyway. Seen a few Inside the Factory.
I think it is only right for there to have been an investigation… and doing so has encouraged others to come forward – which is a good thing. What he has allegedly done is far from ok. However, the investigation has got out of hand and progressed into a trial by television (and a one-sided trial at that). As if trying to drive a man to suicide.Value Is EverythingJuly 15, 2025 at 22:24 #1736248So John Torode has been sacked now over a racist remark he apparently made years ago of which he has no recollection. He states no one can tell him the year or month this remark was made on, sounds a bit knee jerk reaction to me. There were rumours the showing of the next Masterchef which was for amateurs would edit out Greg Wallace but it can’t be possible to edit out both of them the show would have no content or interaction. This show has been a launchpad to some successful careers with the winners going on to great things so you can only have sympathy for the contenders who aren’t likely to get their day in the limelight.

July 16, 2025 at 09:31 #1736254There’s a myriad vacuous cookery progs on the goggler so why not just scrap Masterchef and its spin-offs. It’s been broadcast for decades and even the milkiest of cash cows eventually dries up.

I didn’t and without witnesses they won’t stand. As they say there is no smoke without fire.”If you had one or two without witnesses, you would have a point RTB, but when you have numerous
accusations from individuals, that forms corroboration that is entitled to be accepted as if
they had several witnesses witnessing the same occurences.September 25, 2025 at 22:47 #1740622Mr Wallace’s misdemeanours obviously occurred during the filming of the series they are currently showing as he has disappeared from the final three episodes and replaced with Anna Haugh the apparent new chef presenter.
