R.I.P all those beautiful soles above and sparing a thought for 9yo War Anthem who had not raced for 3 years and broke down fatally.
From his form I can’t see any other reason for pulling him out of retirement other than a syndicate’s day out, he really should not have been on a racetrack but enjoying retirement… a terrible waste.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...

I remember the day Alto Esqua won at Listowel, getting lucky as the two leaders fell but he took his chance in style on his first chase start.

Glad Nambour isn’t on this list. I was worried. I know they spent ages getting him back but I hope he does retire now.
