I was thinking exactly that earlier today. One of the commentators said a horse was "blazing a trail…." and I instantly thought of Blazertrail. I can’t remember who he belonged to either, but hopefully he’s still around to tell us what’s happening.

Vikingflagship –  Do you mean Blaze A Trail ?  He ran just three times under rules. He won a bumper in 1987 at Huntington. He then ran over hurdles in 1988 at Uttoxeter and Haydock finishing unplaced on both occasions. He was intially trained by C W Thornton but joined J Glover after his bumper win.

Then again perhaps you mean Blaze The Trail. She was trained by Jean Rene Auray and ran four times on the flat in 2004 finishing unplaced each time.

There was another one mentioned Chetnole, an unraced bumper horse I think but I can’t remember who mentioned it.

The filly I have shares in debuted a couple of weeks ago and her stablemate who ran the same day won at 50/1 yesterday :)

Cool Martin! How did your filly do?

Yeah, Chetnole, the horse we’re talking about was named here on the forum and as far as we know, is as yet unraced.

Blazertrail is now called Lemon Silk as the original name was rejected.

Naps can correct me if I’m wrong but I’m pretty sure that’s what I was told.

She was mucked about with by the stalls handlers and starter at the start (was loaded up 3 times in total I think) and had the blindfold on for 10mins before being loaded first time.  She was slowly away but caught them up and eventually finished last to Cherri Fosfate but it was a brilliant run in the circumstances.

Yard’s doing well too, Desert Island Disc ran a blinder the other day as did Moonlight and then Plain Champagne won at Brighton.  And an old favourite of mine Indian Gunner goes tonight at Towcester :)

Thanks for the update Mesh, our name was rejected to – originally it was Zamelia but there’s already a Zameyla so she’s Zameliana.

Shame about her first run being a bit of a shambles Martin, but there’s always next time.

Thanks for the update about Blazertrail/Lemon Silk Mesh.

Absolutely right Mesh…..he is now called Lemon Silk. Sadly his debut has been delayed due to a bug in Tom’s yard. He hasn’t stopped cantering but his faster work has been delayed till the mucus clears. We were hoping to make it to Royal Ascot but it looks like we have run out of time. He is entered in 2 of the big sales races later in the season and will let you know when he plans to make his debut.
