That’s Ginger polite way of saying he’s not letting you within a 5 mile radius of his nice new Bungalow Tanker

tbh Been a long time since I’ve fitted a carpet. Looked at my knee kicker the other day – perished. Have to get the power stretcher out Tank.

I presume that Ginge knew I didn’t really want to fit his carpets – as he’s a carpet fitter himself, Nathan.

I could still do a bit if I had to but would be a bit slower with my arthritic hip. Luckily, I don’t have to :yahoo:

Hey GT, I found this power stretcher video in case you are a bit rusty though judging by the comments this is more like a demonstration how NOT to use it 😂😂😂

Oooooooh! Cringed at the way he pulled the stretcher head around, lucky to get away without snagging the carpet. Other end of the stretcher should have its own T piece to go against the skirting instead or as well as a plank. As it is it could push the stretcher underneath that plank, damaging the skirting. Puts too much carpet between grippers and skirting and doesn’t look a straight cut either. 3 out of 10 scored…

Or maybe I was doing it wrong for 30 years, Mtoto?

Has Gingerfitter abandoned this draughty, ghostly basement and the creaking upper storeys for good?

The erstwhile thick-skinned but always genial gent did seem to become uncharacteristically irritable prior to departure: can’t think why ;-)

Hope you and your postmistress are comfy on the shagpile. I recommend the addition of cashmere socks to complete the snug bug rug effect

Gingerstick hasn’t been seen anywhere Drone.
Last post 5th September.. Early hibernation, perhaps

Probably wise for him to invest in the GG’s in peace and silence
Even if his price is locked in

As for lounge, no value in him being right all the time, if no one agrees with him

    If you are reading Ginge

I was always (and still am) a big fan of the Ginge, stuck to his guns and always had his opinions logically thought out and explained well, found myself agreeing with him far more often than not!

Liked his method of backing more than 1 in a race when too and it’s something I adopted as a result, it actually works very well if you pick the right races.

I wonder if he’s stopped betting altogether? It’s something I’ve contemplated numerous times and to be honest when I finally find the right woman I’ll probably have to knock it all on the head, I just find the only way to be profitable is by watching lots of racing and keeping track of the markets in terms of ante-post betting for the big flat/jumps meetings, whenever I dip in and out of the sport I tend to lose but when I’m watching almost daily I’m more successful.

You could always reverse it and give up women once you find the right bet, Ben.
