Not done too much on TRF recently, getting my house/garden ready to sell/move.

So if anyone wants to buy a two (easily made back in to a three or – with an extention – four) bedroom semi-detached house with a largish wildflower/wildlife fairly private garden for around £300,000? On Hampshire/Wiltshire border in a beautiful quiet hamlet in the North Wessex Downs – ideal walking and cycling country. Top quality carpets throughout (some unique). Can see for twenty miles from my bedroom window over the top of a million pound thatch cottage. Around six miles from the nearest shop, halfway between Newbury and Salisbury racecourses. David Elsworth spent his formative years in this hamlet, less than a mile (by track) from Richard Hannon’s Herridge yard. House has been in my family since two days after the Queen’s coronation, 1953.

Sold my place and moved in with parents while we searched for a property, Tank.
Found a bungalow and offer accepted a long time ago. Seller’s side holding things up due to “leasehold / maintenance enquiries” on the flat she’s moving to.

Although a “village”, I wanted it more in the countryside really. But it’s a good compromise. Plenty of walks from the door and The Mendips begin just over the road. Very peaceful, private cul-de-sac location.
