Outlaw Tom is entered for the 3m 1f Handicap Chase at Hexham this ocming Sunday and doesn’t look a strong event. However, his participation is dependent on the going which currently has a touch of good to firm in it. The course will water but Paul Brierley is concerned about a lack of grass in places. Paul will issue an update on Thursday.

I can’t make this one anyway as it’s Aileen’s birthday and we will be up at a posh hotel in Pitlochry for the weekend. Yes, I know Kelso is on as well, but I didn’t even try that one!

    I see he’s been declared.
We’ve got Red Danger Angel in the bumper so should be an interesting day.

Hexham suits Outlaw Tom down to ground as he stays on and the rest come back to him up the hill. Nice patient ride by Campbell Gillies who gets on very well with the gelding.

I hope the the plan remains to aim at the Highland National as that’s one of my favourite races of the season. Handicap mark shouldn’t be a problem as he must surely only go up 2 or 3lbs for this win.

    Great result. 8)

Agreed Rob, hopefully all roads lead to Perth now. Another good ride there from Campbell Gillies too.

Brilliant ride from a jockey who is going places.

Crikey, Tom loves that hill at Hexham, he seems to relish it. Great win. What a treat he’s been to be involved with.

Hopefully all set fair for Perth.

It’s my 30th today (I know, I’m getting old!), and my best present so far was seeing Tom winning. What a horse!

    Nice one!

I was more animated than usual in my local bookies & getting some very strange looks.

    Well done to connections.
