NEWCASTLE – Flat (Updated:06/09/2010 at 11:15)
Going
1m to 4f: GOOD to FIRM
4f to pull up: GOOD, Good to Firm in places (watered)
(GoingStick: 7.6 on Monday at 11:00)

Stalls
Stands side for all races.

Rails
Entire course is open as normal-no false rails anywhere.
Weather

Remaining dry and bright until late Mon eve.
Temps between 14-17c

Watering
5mm of water applied on Sunday to last 4f. *Due to a
burst on the irrigation main 1m to 4f CANNOT be watered!

So knowing that part of the irrigation system is broken they apply water to the section that isn’t broken and thereby create two different types of going over a straight mile. Can this be right?

Doesn’t seem to be right, would expect some creativity in order to overcome the mishap. Nevertheless, weather forecast suggests heavy rain till Saturday. Wouldn’t that be sufficient watering?
