    Tomorrow at Sandown the Henry VIII Novices’ Chase. I think it is a very strong and interesting renewal. Six unbeaten novices over fences. You can make a case of each of the six.

    * Allmankind
    * Eldorado Allen
    * Ga Law
    * Hitman
    * Phoenix Way
    * Tamaroc Du Mathan

    I was really impressed with Ga Law at Wincanton last time and and 7/1 is a nice price, so I will go for him.

    This looks set to be a cracker. A clear no bet race for me but will be watching with intrigue. I can see it being a furiously run race.

    I’m really interested in Phoenix Way long term, and think he’s a bit overpriced tomorrow.

    No bet at the moment, but decent field, and looks one to enjoy without a punt.

    I like Allmankind and that was a good round of jumping. I doubt Shishkin’s connections are worried but he is entitled to be a player in the Arkle after that performance.

    Nice performance by the winner. He was meeting his fences straight and jumping them slightly out to the left, which should stand him in good stead at Cheltenham.
