Looks the best race of the season so far to me
Benie des dieux
Honeysuckle
Apples jade
Penhill
BacardysHopefully as many of them turn up as possible
Honeysuckle is a really exciting prospect and has been very much chucked in at the deep end here, may well talk myself into backing her between now and sunday
November 27, 2019 at 08:22 #1475965Hopefully a great race in store! I did think Mullins wouldn’t run Benie turns out he is!
Going to head down to the meeting I think now, not sure there’s a bet in here though. Honeysuckle full of potential, but hasn’t recorded anything higher than 145 on RPRs! Benie going in on her first run. Bacardys can he back it up? Apples is she on the wane? Penhill massive questions but has gone from 16s to 6s…Twitter: Jackh1092
Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 27, 2019 at 13:18 #1475976AJ going for a 4 timer in this and is 3/3 at Fairyhouse. She’s still only a 7 year old so shouldn’t be on the decline. There was also a feeling that AJ was better when only short breaks between runs, three weeks on this occasion. Not sure if this is still the case but she may have needed it last time, first time out. Obviously a pretty strong race but 9/2 seems good enough to me.
November 27, 2019 at 15:32 #1475982Yep Homer it’s possible and you could argue her RPR wasn’t all that bad last time in comparison to other years. However, she was beat out of sight and that RPR to me looks on the high side.

Hindsight is 20/20 so make the most of it!November 27, 2019 at 15:48 #1475984She looked gone at the game to me
Wouldnt back her with someone else’s money till she proves shes still the horse she was
November 28, 2019 at 20:44 #1476045Benie des dieux is now drifted to 2/1 in most places
Anyone heard if shes not running?
If she gets any bigger and runs that is very tempting
Penhill is also a sea of red on oddschecker, but barcadys is all blue
November 28, 2019 at 23:16 #1476059Definitely a race just to enjoy for me, though with a few quid on Honeysuckle for The Champion Hurdle, I’ll obviously be hoping she runs well.
Looking forward to it, and I’ll be watching Coko Beach closely with a view to bigger prizes later in the season.
November 29, 2019 at 12:32 #1476074I think that I will shout on Apples Jade here through sentimentality, but I’m struggling to have a bet. If I had a change of heart, it will be Penhill though. I think the change of routine for him is interesting.
November 29, 2019 at 15:20 #1476088Benie Des Dieux not declared and Townend has picked the race fit Bacardys over the horse he won the Albert Bartlett and Stayers Hurdle on, Penhill.
I’m on Penhill here at 16’s each way from a few weeks back with 3 places
Still a fascinating race; hopefully Penhill can do it but I have a feeling it will be between Bacardys and Honeysuckle
November 29, 2019 at 22:54 #1476153Elliot was hardly upbeat about apples jade again, bacardys would be the bet at this point, might chance honeysuckle but shes plenty short atm, should be behind bacardys
November 29, 2019 at 23:02 #1476155Even over 2m4f I’d fancy penhill to beat barcadys if fully wound up
Just think hes a vastly superior animal
Will only have a bet if my envoi Allen/samcro double comes in but even at this stage everything just seems a little too short to back
November 29, 2019 at 23:08 #1476159Ive gone for the forecast of BACARDYS>HONEYSUCKLE. With the opinion that 2m 4 might be too short for PENHILL???!!…f@&k knows
December 1, 2019 at 14:51 #1476308That was very impressive
December 1, 2019 at 14:58 #1476309Elliot has 2 projects , get to the bottom of what’s wrong with apples jade and more so how the hell to get samcro to jump
December 1, 2019 at 15:14 #1476313She was impressive but did it take much winning? Bacardys is good but not top class, Penhill probably needed it and needs further and Apples Jade is a shadow of the mare she was this time last year.
Having said that, if Honeysuckle was mine she would be trained for the Champion. It looks a weak year so why not have a go? She will get the allowance and I do not see any of the horses at the top of the market giving her weight and a beating.
December 1, 2019 at 16:15 #1476322I was just thinking that cork
If she has the speed the champion hurdle looks the easier option than taking on benie des dieux in the mares
With klassical dream, buveur dair and fusil raffles all dissapointing so far they must be tempted
Surely worth trying her over 2 miles and seeing how she goes then if she isn’t quick enough go back up in trip for cheltenham and punchestown
December 1, 2019 at 16:28 #1476324Don’t give up in fusel raffles yet , I reckon he,ll improve a lot on that first run
