Apologies Paul. I mistakenly thought The Rabble had come to their senses on this loophole from what you originally wrote. Now things are much clearer.
As long as it’s not a two horse race or all opponents aren’t backed then it’s okay.

So as long as Findlay leaves out the 1000 rag he’s not really laying by proxy if he chose to back every other horse in the race bar his? Maybe Fergus Wilson’s runners do serve a purpose after all………as a loophole for bent connections.

All of which is exactly why I believe it should be clarified.
Back in a week.

Assuming your link is correct, this is an old case that was dealt with back in May. The owners in question were both disqualified for 12 months.

September 22, 2010 at 18:05 #318758Thanks, AP. The BHA put this up on their website today, must have been a mistake on their part.
They seem to have corrected it now. Both cases involve Irish connections, maybe thats where the confusion arose.

October 1, 2010 at 12:51 #320276Sounds a bit like the time when Alan Jarvis said he overheard Scotney at a party saying he was going to get Fallon but Scotney denied it under oath so it can’t be true.
