Just a quick note from me to thank everyone who contributes to the forum.
The way the forum thrives despite the alternative ‘quick-fix’ people can get via the plethora of social media channels is testament both to the quality and integrity of the TRF posters.Thanks to all those who run competitions and spend time curating tipping threads, etc – all very much appreciated by myself and all the other members.
A very special shout to VTC and Matron who continue to help moderate the forum with a sure and steady hand – I’m certain that without the quality of moderation we have the forum would not remain as enjoyable as it is.
A very Happy New Year to you all when it comes, let’s hope 2025 brings us all we might wish for.

I also reiterate Ruby and Glad’s comments, a special thanks for all the hard work that is done in the background (which many of us probably have no idea just how time consuming it really is) to keep this place ticking along as it does.
Thanks to all members that post (regardless of how much and how often you do) to the many varied threads in the forum – we all make it what it is with the lively banter, though provoking comments, great depth of knowlege and the many differing perspectives that we can all share on a sport we all love (to varying degrees
).Finally, I wish a Happy New Year to one and all in our TRF family, with good health and prosperity (especially on the betting side if that is your jam) and if you are planning on going out to ring in the New Year later, stay warm and safe and enjoy your night!

It really feels like family coming on here week after week. It was the competitions that drew me in many years back. Bobby and Graham (BigG) do a grand job running the Ten To Follow Comps and Hot Fuss and Neil (Rummy) keep our minds active every Saturday with their Comps not forgetting The Raymo’s who make Cheltenham and Royal Ascot such fun. Of course a mention for Nathan for setting up the Daylight Comp and to you David for providing the Trophy each year. 🏆
Lastly couldn’t go without remembering the King of the Competitions Bob Rolfe who sadly passed away this year, all love and thoughts to his family.

Things turn out best for those who make the best of how things turn out...I was starting to lose interest in racing as I don’t go and no one in the family is interested, they just think I have a gambling problem
Glad I found TRF a while back it has bought racing back to me so happy new year to all involved whether it be admin, those who run the brilliant competitions or just us everyday folk The more I know the less I understand.

2025 is the year I have to admit to having a gambling problem …. I keep picking the wrong horses , 2024 wasn’t a great year gambling wise ( I only gamble small ) highlight prob being a good day at Musseburgh during the Sunday series , as always it’s Cheltenham and the Nationals I really care about , and it’s looking like a the 2025 festival could be a cracker , happy New year all
