The Cockney Mackem – Centenary Nvc Hdcp Chase 25/1 NRNB B365 looks very interesting.

A clear 2nd to the well handicapped Salut Flo in the Byrne Plate last Year he has been wind-oped and had a breeze over hurdles at Ascot last weekend. He has a mark of around 128 which would give him a nice weight of around 10-12. Apparantly Twister has laid him out for this – he was gambled on from 20s to 10s on the day last year in the Plate and i’d fully expect him to be so again in this – the locals love to latch on to one of NTDs.

I looked at him and was put off big time by the fact he has only ever won one race.

If I had to put up one handicapper it would be Loch Ba. Last time I looked for some strange reason the 25/1 was still available. Got to prove himself on the track but open to massive improvement.

Quartz De Thaix looks a little gem in the Pertemps at 25/1.

Sorry Boz, but Jetson is gonna take this

Robbie Power gave it a big word on ATR and looks to have had the perfect prep, running a steady 6th in the Leops Xmas qualifier. Weighted nicely at 9-12, weights surely will creep up a little and needs around 12 to come out. Irish usually have 1 or 2 in the frame.
20s EW NRNB BetVic a good bet.

The interview with Jonjo on Sporting life video suggests he may go for the Coral Cup. Alot depends on AP’s availability he said, however JP is almost certain to have runners in all the handicaps.

Alderwood off just 140 in the Grand Annual. Carberry already booked for Kid Cassidy, so that shows where McCoy is going.
